i love southern california.

i love so cal. 

where else could you plan to go to the beach. then on the way there change your mind and head into hollywood.

and then drive around bel aire and see michael jackson's house, and the jonas brothers house. 

then go back to hollywood blvd and see a taping of the jimmy kimmel show.

and then end the night with a trip to the santa monica pier with a ride on the ferris wheel. 

summer 2009.

i can not believe summer 2009 is already here. 

this blog is more for my own reflection rather than your reading pleasure. so whoever you are, if you decided not to read this blog that is totally understandable. 

so far my summer vacation has been pretty good. 

tuesday morning some of my roommates (manada and christina) woke me up and told me we were going to disneyland. so we went. just for the morning tho. 

when i got back to school i had to start packing up my room. jacob and his friend charles came to help me move my stuff. that was so nice, i didn't really have to carry anything out. corinne and i then made a cribs stye video tour of our cottage. stay tuned, will be posting that soon. also took a trip to rite aid to get some ice cream with jennifer. that was a funny experience, we went to one and all their ice cream was frozen solid and they couldn't scoop into it. so we called another rite aid. and they were out of the flavors we wanted so we had to go to a third rite aid. 

wednesday everyone from my cottage woke up and ate breakfast together. i am seriously so blessed to have gotten the opportunity to live with those girls this year. when i tell people that i lived in the cottage they normally said, "wow. nine girls all in that tiny house, how can you handle it?" but really we all got along so well. im excited that i get to live with three of the girls next year: corinne, justine, and molly. amy and teresa will be graduating on saturday and i will miss them for sure. and then amanda and christina both live close enough that i hope to see them this summer. 

then after i moved out of my room i went to disneyland with jackie sam and andrew. but we were only there for a few hours. it was fun though. we watched honey i shrunk the audience... haven't seen that in years. it's always fun to do something new... or old. 

when we got back to cbu the most random group of people had assembled for a late night beach trip. random group. so we went to the beach. walked around. and just sat on the sand. 

then i spent the night at jackie's apt. because after being checked out of my housing assignment for  9 hours i still wanted to sleep at school. 

then thursday morning we woke up and went to buy a bunch of tickets for the midnight showing of wovlerine. i came home and took a nap. 

then i helped my mom cook some curry for dinner. delicious. i think im going to have a little bit more after i post this blog. we watched the office together and i really missed corinne and jordan who i normally watch it with. 

then i went to the plaza to wait for wolverine to start. the theater was out of control full of cbu people. it was fun.  and we stayed behind to watch the final scene that plays after the credits roll. well someone stopped the movie and we all missed the final 10ish seconds of the movie and they gave everyone replacement tickets. nice.

well that has been my last three days. its been fun. if you actually read this blog im sorry for boring you. and im sorry for my worse than normal grammar and spelling. but it is 4 in the morning, so give me a break.

jr high camping trip.

just got back from the jr high spring break beach camping trip. with a grand total of 51 7th and 8th graders. 

they are an energetic, wild, and crazy bunch. seriously the weirdest age group out there. well, i guess the 80 and up crowd can be entertaining at times. (side note, my grandmother sent me a text message yesterday.)

we played a lot of ninja, which is a bunch of fun.

and the weather was beautiful. i guess it rained a little but in the night, but i slept right through it.

laundry time.

oh four day weekend.
i have been consistantly having fun times the past four days.

friday- went to disney land wiht jillian to help her spend her birthday fun card at disneyland. (because if you have an annual pass you can go on your bday and get a gift card with 70 bucks on it.) and then we went out to dinner for her 21st. followed by a viewing of the notorious b.i.g. movie. then some quality time spent with friends in the albertos parking lot untill 2 in the morning.

saturday- went to mark lamberth's funeral. i did not know him but i had been reading the blog and praying. seriously i learned alot at the funeral and got to hear some awesome people speak things i really needed to hear. then i watched pineapple express and got a pedicure with jillian and andrew. we decided to go to disneyland the next day so i acutally went to bed pretty early.

sunday- actually got up to go to sandals at 8:30 am. yes in the moring. then a quick trip over to bunch and then me jillian and andrew were off to disneyland! and it was crowded. we didn't ride that many rides but we saw alot of shows and did that whole thing. it was fun but i came hoome exhausted.

monday- got to sleep in and then went to balboa with some of the girls from my cottage. i really was in a poopy mood at first. i dont know why i was so cranky. but then i ended up having a lot of fun. and the sunset was beautiful. (believe it or not, but this picture was taken with my cell phone.)
but now it is monday night and i have homework to work on, some reading i want to get done, clean up my room, and i need to do laundry becuase im about to run out of clean underwear (you can wear jeans over and over again, but once you are out of chonies its totally laundry day).

Im at the beach with jill. And there are about 40 people decided to have a party right next to our spot. So we moved our towels forward three feet. Weird.

ahoy matey.

this past weekend we went on a last minute family vacation to long beach.
we stayed aboard the queen mary. it was fun and relaxing. my fave part of our suite was the hardware. check out the knobs for the bathtub: it says: hot salt, hot fresh, cold salt, and cold fresh.


on sunday we went to the aquarium of the pacific. i cracked up at the sign above the toilet.
kinda blury, but it reads : flush up for #1 (liquid waste) and flush down for #2 (solid waste)maybe sea world in all its amazingness ruined my opinion of aquariums. but i was totally board. i mean how long can you just look at fish behind glass? there were two otters and some cute penguin. but im over it.

the sea horse was my favorite tank. they are so funny looking. who decided this looks like a horse?

and now back at home we are working on re doing the front room.
but tomorrow when most of the painting is going to be done (by jacob and riley) i will be at the beach with junior highers.

la playa.

so im at may grandparents house in north hollywood. and im trying to work on homework. key word: trying.

basically this little ten year old girl chevelle is here and she wants to play with me. and i taught her how to make some origami things. and we played cards. now i just want to do my homework in peace. like she keeps coming over and reading everyhting and asking questions. and like i was being totally nice and talking to her but now i have my headphones in and i am listing to music so maybe she will get the hint. it doesn't seem to be working though. she is still talking to me and AHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so yesterday i went to the beach with eric, corinne, and paul (you guys need blogs!). it was a beautiful day. we played volley ball (well not really), and catch phrase (love!), took lots of pictures (well everyone else did and i didnt take a single picture), barbecued hot dogs (i like em burnt), and then had s'mores. no not some more hot dogs. s'mores.
