ugly awkward days.

in jr high i had terrible style.
on one hand im really glad i don't have many pictures from that stage in my life.
but on the other hand i wish that i had some proof of how ridiculous i was.

lets start out at the bottom.
i had about four different pairs of these doc marten sandals. they were pretty comfterable and i thought i looked ba in them.i also had an obsession with matching my shoe laces to my outfitt.
me and my bff ashley were crazy. between the two of us we had ever color of the rainbow so, for example, i would call her up and ask if i could borrow her bright orange ones to match my outfit that day. and we would lace them a different way each day. i hear there are books out there showing 1000s of ways to lace your shoes... i could have written that book.

did you notice that i said bright orange laces to go with my outfit?
that is becuase i had 7-10 different pairs of dickies pants in a wide assortment of colors.
haha.
oh man.
did any one else do these things? or was it just me.

there are somethings i know i could really get into.

so i stay away.
kinda like there are lots of tv shows that i know i could get addicted to.
so i don't watch them.

online shopping is one of my pastimes.
i really don't buy that much stuff. so i guess its more of online window shopping.
i just add lots of purses and bags and accessories and clothes to my shopping bag and i never buy the stuff. i have also been really into looking at makeup online lately. there are some great sites out there with super good deals. but of course i don't know what the products are actually like because i never buy anything.


but tonight i bid on a bag on ebay. and i won it for $2.50 plus $4 for shipping and handling.
so im excited to get that in the mail.


it was a good weekend. with a slight period of emo today.
field trip, disneyland twice, oak glen, brother's show, good food, great friends.
now its back to school

this longing for camo shorts is unexplainable.

i can't explain it but for the last few weeks i have really wanted to add a pair of boy shorts to my wardrobe.

and i want them to be camouflage boy shorts.
i couldn't tell you why i want some. and sitting here blogging about it seems weird.
i have never really been a big camo person. like i do have a pair of camo pants. and a skirt.

but i kinda feel like there are two types of people in the world
the first kind has never owned anything camouflage. they know that the print is over used. it is not fashionable. it doesn't really work with anything. it makes you look sloppy.
most of my life i fit into this category.

the other kind of person is a camo enthusiast. they own many different camo items. they accept it for its awesome-ness that allows it to match well with basically every color. its comfortable. carefree. works well with flip flops. and by adding a great pair of heels and a jacket you can take the look from day to night!
well i know thats not entirely true. but its april fools day so i can get away with lying on the internet. ALRIGHT So i just had a major tangent and im going to save that for my next blog so this one doesn't get super long.
but now i guess i fit into this second category.

i reject knock-offs.

i really do not accept fake designer bags at all.
i just do not see the point in paying for a design that you know is stolen.

selling these bags is illegal (its trademark counterfeiting)
but guess what- buying the bags is also illegal. (just to clarify its not illegal to buy coach "style" bags that have a "g" instead of a "c" this is artistic interpretation) but i still don't see the point.
and my dislike is not really about the fake handbags, its about the child labor. there is no way to regualae te how the bags are manufactured.

this might sound harsh but buy buying these bags you are supporting organized crime and child labor. you are also stealing fro the designers who have worked hard to build up their brand.


when researching this issue i found this cool site. bag borrow or steal is sweet you can rent luxury bags for as low as $15 a week. so if having the brand name stuff is important to you but you cant shell out lots of money check this out before even thinking about buying a knock off bag.

and before this year i didn't even realize what an issue these knock-off bags are. i was reading an article in news week (i think thats where) about child trafficking and counterfeit bags. and now i just want to go up to people who are carrying fake bags and tell them that some starving child with horrible working conditions probably made their bag. but i know thats rude. so blogging seemed to be the perfect outlet for this rant.

so lately it has really started to bother me that europe has such cool stuff that is just not available in united states of america.

like different clothing companies will not ship here. or its a million dollars in taxes and shipping and handling fees.

another thing. why is there a separate euro itunes store? why cant we all just share everything.
