sorry for the lack of blogs.

hmm. this photo booth pic does not look good.

it was brought to my attention (by jillian) that it had been almost a month since i had blogged.

i am back at cbu. i am so glad to be back. i just love living so close to all my friends and just having the community around me.

in other news i am the design editor for the banner. despite having no experience with InDesign i was able to get the job, and i have been learning so much and putting in a lot of hours. im really thankful to have this opportunity.
so go pick up a banner and tell me what you think.

ill update more i promise. but really its hard to keep the blog alive when i am constantly twittering.

You see flowers in these weeds.

this is a project that i am working on right now.
the assignment was to create a "statement of faith."
so this is what i came up with.
used one of my favorite all time songs, dandelions, by five iron frenzy.
basically God sees us a beautiful flowers even though we are weeds.
just like dandelions.
unconditional love.
seriously, how can he see us as anything but the wretched sinful weeds that we are? it blows my mind.
like the gifts we bring him and the way we try to worship how can it even compare to what he has done for us? but even though what we bring to the table looks like nothing we are still treasured.

well, its almost 5 in the morning. i had a fantastic day. now i need some sleep.

woo.

so i work in the graphic design computer lab.

its fun. i just get to sit there and work on projects and help other students who come in to use the lab.

but this week  the four of us who work in there were given a new task to accomplish.
we are making fire escape routes for every classroom on campus.
we have to draw up the building and room and then add a nice dotted line to show the most efficient way to exit a building in the case of emergency.

its kinda tedious work. but i like it.
the thing is they didn't tell us what the most efficient way to get out would be. so we get to figure it out on our own.
im nervous that i will draw the dotted line the wrong way and then someone might get hurt in a fire because i thought it would be better to use one set of stairs as opposed to a different exit.

so tonight i went to cbu's first annual woo fest.
basically an all male talent show providing the men on campus an opportuinity to woo the ladies.
it was so entertaining.

happy valentines day.

an unusual purchase.

so i hardly ever buy movies. i see them all the time. but i don't usually have the urge to by every movie that comes out. because of these reasons:

  1. collectively my friends have a pretty complete movie library. my room mate basically owns every movie a girl would want to see.
  2. i tend to fall asleep during movies
  3. i have decided to spend my movie money on movies in the theater. i love watching a movie with 100 strangers. i laugh much more when i i am surrounded by random people's laughter.
but i just pre ordered juno at amazon. i am pretty sure i have already talked about the awesomeness of this move.

more than re watching the movie i am excited to see the special features. the directors commentary. deleated scenes. outtakes.

thats another thing. if im going to buy a movie im going to get the extended version ever time that is an option. go big or go home, right?

in other movie news in my photo shop class i had to make a vector image using the pen tool. i hate the pen tool. its so hard for me. i have done so many tutorials. but i still have to stop and think about what im doing. which way i need to pull the little bar guys. ahhh.
well the theme of the project was you favorite movie. i never know how to answer that question. and i figured i had already lost all respect in that class when i turned in this project that i would just go for it and do sisterhood of the traveling pants.

so here it is.
kinda similar to the original, right? so if you have any images that you would like vectored i need the practice.
:]
